Dr. Craig is available to provide urgent care treatment for serious eye pain and injuries during regular office hours. If a critical medical condition of an urgent nature exists, you may contact Dr. Craig and request that he intervene.

Urgent Eye Care Conditions We Treat

Priority Examinations for Significant NON-EMERGENCY Eye Problems

Cases of an urgent nature may include medical eye issues from ocular allergies to injury that may cause concern to eye integrity or vision, as well as conditions of urgent eye pain. If unsure, please contact us.

For assistance, contact Family Eye Care Center. Be prepared to describe the situation affecting the eye, signs, symptoms, and other relevant details. Dr. Craig and/or our trained staff will determine if and when the patient can be scheduled. If unable to reach us or obtain an appointment for a condition you believe is serious, go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Service Area

Dr. Craig provides Urgent eye care for patients in and around Randolph County (Elkins, Beverly, Mill Creek), Barbour County (Belington, Philippi), Tucker County (Parsons, Davis, Thomas), Upshur County (Buckhannon), and Pocahontas County (Snowshoe, Marlinton, Durbin), and beyond who require eye care. Patients facing serious and / or life-threatening Emergency Medical issues should go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

We Are Not a Walk-In Hospital or Emergency Room

Family Eye Care Center is not a walk-in hospital, emergency room, or surgical center. Our facility houses an optometric eye care practice with regular office hours; however, Dr. Craig Hyre, O.D. is qualified and equipped to provide professional care for many types of eye and vision-related concerns and conditions. All patients must obtain an appointment to be seen. During regular office hours, we may prioritize care for patients with urgent eye conditions.
